Flame retardant polythene sheeting (FRPS) can be made from one of two main types of plastic;
- HDPE (High Density Polyethylene);
- LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene).
HDPE is thicker than LDPE, with a slightly milky appearance.
Our orange flame retardant sheeting will help provide protection during building various works.
With the addition of a specialist additive, our sheeting will reduce burning and smoke compared to standard polythene sheeting.

What can it be used for?
Flame Retardant Polythene Sheeting has many applications, the most common being protecting your home from bushfires. It can also be used to protect homes from the effects of cyclones. FRPS is also very good at protecting buildings that are being demolished, or repaired. Flame retardant polythene can be used on its own to cover things, or it can be used as a vapour barrier with insulation between two sheets of FRPS.Why use flame retardant polythene sheeting?
